I was raised and educated in Chicago, and except for two tours in the US Air Force I have lived my whole life here, so I understand our unique culture of criminal law. One of my strengths is that I have not been limited to local court. In addition to Cook County, I have successfully represented clients in Lake County, McHenry County, DuPage County, Kane County, Winnebego County, and all over the US in military court. My practice in federal and state court covers a wide spectrum. In federal court I handle white-collar crime, government contract fraud, child pornography and exploitation, conspiracy, wire and mail fraud, extortion and bribery, drug offenses, and numerous other felony charges. I also help people who have been asked to cooperate in federal investigations, including grand jury proceedings. In state court I represent people accused of larceny, theft, sexual assault, possession of child pornography, child exploitation, drug offenses, computer crime, and violent crimes. In addition to felony cases, I handle DUI hearings, traffic court, misdemeanors, and juvenile delinquency. My firm also handles personal injury and civil rights cases.
